With over 18+ years of experience performing in the Phoenix area, Mikey has established himself as an innovator performing as an impact dueling piano player, soloist for background piano or as a featured entertainer and has recorded original compositions ranging from New Age piano instrumentals to a rock/funk power trio The Final featuring local legends Ethan Newman (bass) and Nick Segall (drums). He has played everything from house parties to block parties for the city of Tempe, entertained weddings and corporate events at most resorts across the Valley of the Sun and is a featured player at Low Key Piano Bar with songs
ranging from Frank Sinatra to Cardi B and everything in between.
Relocating to the Phoenix area from St. Louis, MO in 2003, Mikey spent the next 10 years playing for Big Bang Dueling Pianos before deciding on a freelance career, allowing him the opportunity of playing with a diverse palette of dueling piano players in many cities across the country including Las Vegas, San Francisco, Portland, Rancho Cucamonga and many others.
In 2014 Mikey relocated to Corona CA, where he helped good friend Neil Morrow open Live from Memphis, a rock ’n roll piano show with a focus on the Memphis music scene that gave us Elvis, Jerry Lee, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins, to name a few.
Mikey really missed the Phoenix area and was given the chance to move home and upon his return to the Valley in 2015, Mikey helped open Low Key Piano Bar in Tempe, a very familiar room where the Big Bang was located in the Historic Downtown Mill Avenue District. in 2018 he helped open a second Low Key in the Westgate entertainment district in Glendale, AZ.
As Low Key continues to expand locations, Mikey continues to play weekly in Tempe and runs the piano operations as Entertainment Director for Low Key Piano Bar. He has original downloads available both for purchase and licensing opportunities, and he is available for hire immediately for all events.
